Peer Reflections
Jack Parker - Industrial design
Jack undertook his WIL Placement at a mechanical engineering company as a Draftsperson. Jack excellently described who he was, What the Company he was completing his placement does, and what his role entailed while he was there. Jack was able to present this to a level that anyone from any industry could easily follow and understand. He presented slowly and calmly and showed a high level of organization and cohesion between the visual and audible aspects of his presentation. He was lucky to have such great visual footage provided for him however he utilized the editing of it perfectly.

From Jack's presentation, I have been reminded of the importance of speaking slowly and clearly. I believe that Jack could well be next in line to take over narration duties from Sir David Attenborough if he so wished, his voice was calm and clear throughout. I will also aim to replicate the structure which he presented, it flowed well and was very easy to follow.

Claire Nielsen- Environmental Science
Caire undertook her WIL Placement internally through Griffith University. Claire's project was to record all vertebrate fauna that could be found on the Gold Coast campus and produce a guidebook that showcased her research and findings. Clair's presentation was through a PowerPoint slide show with a visual of her audibly presenting. Clair clearly explained who she was, what the project entailed, how she went about the project, and what experience was gained throughout. The presentation was well structured, with clear and easy-to-follow slides and a clear and well-paced audible presentation.
From Claire's presentation, I liked how she clearly stated what the WIL tasks were that she set out to achieve and then revised them again at the end to acknowledge what was actually achieved. I liked the way she laid out her slides, with the visual of her physical presence and I believe this format will suit well to my presentation.
